Annual Hamilton West and Steinert Thanksgiving game

Each year on Thanksgiving people gather with family and friends to watch football. Two local high schools meet each year for there Thanksgiving football game. This rivalry between Steinert High school and Hamilton High School-West has been going on for the past 51 years and it is still drawing attention to many people in Mercer County.

Hamilton leads the series 32-18-1. The 2009 annual Thanksgiving day Football game between these two schools will be held at Hamilton West this year with a starting time of 10:30 am. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. If you bring a can good to donate to the can good drive you will get into the game for free.

Being part of Steinert Highs alumni , being apart of this game is a very exciting tradition for me. You are able to spend time with friends and family while you are waiting for the turkey to be done and cheer for your team.

You are also able to pick up your Steinert or West football attire while at the game . Snacks such as hot dogs, hot chocolate and soda are also available for purchase.

So enjoy your Thanksgivng with starting a new tradition or maybe continuning an old one. This football game is not something you would like to miss!
